We're Joel and Kalinda, the co-founders of this exciting journey, and we can't wait to share our story with you! Our paths crossed at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, during a time when gyms were closed, and outdoor exercise became our sanctuary. Little did we know that our daily outdoor runs and workouts would lead us to each other. Our first date was unconventional yet fitting – we exercised together, and from that moment on, we became inseparable.

As fitness enthusiasts and avid gym-goers, we quickly realised the importance of having a reliable sweat towel during our workouts. We caught ourselves both complaining about how unattractive and impractical most gym towels were. That’s when we noticed a gap in the market and developed the idea for Cheeky Winx – a gym towel with a difference.

Driven by a shared passion for adventure, fitness, and a desire to bring something unique to the market, we embarked on a mission to create the ultimate gym towel. Our vision was clear: a towel that would be ultra-absorbent, quick-drying, odour-free, lightweight, compact, and, most importantly, colourful, fun, and affordable for everyone. We finally turned our vision into reality, and in February 2021, Cheeky Winx was born.

Our humble beginnings saw us working out of a spare room in our apartment, with just eight designs to offer. To our surprise and delight, those initial designs sold out within a few months, and we knew we were onto something special. As demand grew, we expanded our range with more designs and had the privilege of collaborating with incredibly talented Australian artists.

With each passing month, the Cheeky Winx family grew, and to keep up with momentum, we moved into a new townhouse with a double garage to accommodate our growing stock and office space! But we didn’t stop there. Our commitment to creating top-notch products led us to expand beyond gym towels. We introduced beach towels, golf towels, grip socks, and, most recently, a range of bags – including makeup bags, beach bags, lunch bags, and school backpacks – each crafted with the features our customers love and the same Cheeky Winx funky flair you've come to adore.

With the unwavering support of our incredible customers, we reached new heights in a short span. At the beginning of 2023, we took another significant leap, moving into our very own warehouse and hiring our fist employee – marking a new chapter in our journey. Cheeky Winx continues to grow, with each new product inspired by our commitment to quality, creativity, and fun.
